The Wedding Garment.
At the point when the lord came in to see the visitors, he saw a man there who didn't have on a wedding piece of clothing. Matthew 22:11. (Peruse Matthew 22:1-14.) FH 123.1
By the assistance of the Holy Spirit, people can ascend from regularity and live unadulterated, blessed lives. Those affirmed devotees who don't do this lie against the truth.... They don't show forward in word and deportment the changing force that goes to reality. How could the Lord be satisfied with the individuals who put forth no attempt to ascend to an exclusive expectation? Do they not profess to have gotten a high, respectable truth?... FH 123.2
God doesn't request that people give up whatever is for the wellbeing of soul or body, yet He requests that they give up corrupting, weakening indecencies which, whenever esteemed, will bar them from paradise. He leaves them space for each delight that can be appreciated without regret of still, small voice, and recollected without regret. He asks them, for their present and unceasing great, to develop those temperances that carry wellbeing to the body and solidarity to the spirit. Unadulterated contemplations and right propensities are important to our satisfaction as people and as Christians. Everything of a corrupting character should be survived in the event that we would see the King in His beauty.... FH 123.3
The Lord can and will help every individual who looks for His assistance in the work to get unadulterated and holy.... Have sincere endeavors been made to beaten normal tendencies to wrong, to overcome the propensities and practices that were a piece of the life before the acknowledgment of reality? Are the individuals who guarantee to accept reality as chaotic and scattered in the home and as un-Christlike in the day by day life as before they affirmed to acknowledge Christ? Assuming this is the case, they are not appearance forward the commendations of Him who hath called them out of haziness. They have not put on Christ's uprightness. FH 123.4
Endeavor to make chose improvement. Scrub yourselves from all dinginess of the fragile living creature and of the soul, consummating sacredness in the dread of the Lord. Be flawless and clean in your dress, and kind and polite in your way. Be unadulterated and refined, for paradise is the actual embodiment of virtue and refinement. As God is unadulterated and heavenly in His circle, so we are to be in our circle. FH 123.5
Peruse cautiously and fundamentally the story of the wedding piece of clothing, and make an individual utilization of the exercises it teaches.... The individuals who make a calling of confidence, but stay unaltered in propensity and practice, are addressed... by the one who went to the banquet without a wedding article of clothing.— The Review and Herald, February 26, 1901.
